MJK dinner for wellness was a huge success. A huge number members participated in the healthy wellness dinner. I was there from beginning to the end and heard a lot of positive comments and feedback. It was mixed crowd who participated and enjoyed the healthy dinner ( Younger generation and Older generation) I think we can do much better planning and organizing for next event in terms of support from kitchen committee to take out food on time and not to differentiate between wellness menu and regular menu, RSVP for healthy food etc.. Yogurt and Roti was huge success and yes , I agree with Prafullaben it was very hard to say no to Kids. Most of the healthy food was gone at the end. In fact, many people ask me about the calorie count of our wellness menu. I would suggest a conference/ meeting so we can share our individual experience yesterday. As I stood ahead of plate distribution and offered healthy menu to people in the single line, all except one had a non-positive response. I observed that people asked me again to make sure they knew where the healthy food was getting distributed. Many many compliments from people I did not know after dinner, thanking us for healthy option. There were no Rotis left at the end but many puris left and individuals took it home! -Sonia Shah (April 21st, 2014)

I sat at a table where 3 generations from the same family were sitting together and eating a healthy meal. I asked them what prompted them and most of them said, Rotli and yogurt and also they wanted to try what was in the healthy Menu. These Rotlis worked better than multi grain last time. The whole wheat Rotli with ghee works the Best. As, Dr. Molina from research at SAHC says ghee is not bad. You need fat to absorb the protein in your diet. -Mina Choksi (April 21st, 2014)

I was volunteering in kitchen yesterday and as they help earlier with khaman and chutney counter, I was helping them in that aisle. It was from that aisle I had a very special view of the Wellness Food aisle. Initially, it was a slow trickle, but in 15-20 minutes, there was a big queue at the Wellness Counter. There was a lot of enthusiasm and eagerness to know more and eagerness to know about healthy food. I met a few people later, and they had loved it. As Prafullaben had mentioned, people were really enjoying the yoghurt. Overall, a resounding success. -Hemang Doshi (April 21st, 2014)

Our combined effort went very well. I was surprised when asked by Hemendrabhai Doshi last minute to make sign for the wellness food. I told him we had none with us as we were told it will not be allowed. Made couple of hand written signs. I went down to Put the signs and was confronted by someone from the food committee saying that i will throw away these signs without looking at them. I told him if he had any problem go talk to Hemendrabhai. Wellness food was not taken out in timely manner. I myself had to go and get food and set up the table. Leaving that behind overall response was good. Few people wished more of this should be done at JCSC. We requested them to send their comments. Thanks to Prafullaben for controlling crowd who wanted regular food but wanted rotli & yogurt from wellness counter. May be we should convince JCSC EC to serve rotli at all times instead of Puris. A very Pleasant Surprise was the Healthy Food Option. Tasted great, so many items, less than half the calories and was not alone saw lots of people lot more youngsters of ages from 12 & upwards on the line for Healthy food options. At times the lines were longer than regular food line was my observation. Flavors of cold Greek yoghurt was a perfect choice for the warm day. Suggestion -Please put up more information in lunch area for one to make a choice and select healthier option when possible as several members I spoke to did not know and ended up in the regular line. - Sanjay (April 21st, 2014)
