In this week's challenge you must Snack Healthy. Many people avoid snacks because they are afraid that snacks contribute to weight gain. However, a healthy snack can offer health benefits. Snacks can even be included in a weight loss plan. The trick is to choose a snack that is a mix of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats.

Snacking correctly can lead to many benefits such as...

  • Increased energy
  • Better concentration
  • Fights weight gains
  • Regulates mood

    Instead of snacking on butter popcorn, cookies, chips, fries, Twinkies etc.. here are some substitutes you can use to help you with this weeks challenge and to help you be healthier

    Raw Veggies


    Almonds

    Fruits


    Air-Popped Low Fat Popcorn


    Edamame


    Small Baked Potato

    Fresh avocado on wheat toast


    Hummus and Pita

    The Weekly Health Challenge is a self-audited program designed to motivate the JCSC Wellness participants in reducing BMI on a weekly basis.

    1. Each week there will be a new health challenge. You can accept the challenge by accepting the pledge for each challenge. You can only accept a challenge from midnight on Sunday to midnight on Tuesday.

    2. At the end of the week, you can declare if you have completed the challenge. You can only mark a challenge as completed from midnight on Sunday to midnight on Tuesday.
