Go Outside Your Comfort Zone


In this week's challenge you must go outside your comfort zone. Each of us has our own "comfort zone" which, more than an actual place, is a psychological/emotional/behavioral construct that defines the routine of our daily life. Our comfort zone makes us feel safe and secure, but there are benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone from time to time. If you only do the same old things, then you won't change your current circumstances/life. If you keep doing what you already know, then you won't grow. Stepping outside of that gives us the opportunity to grow and expand out current comfort zone. Why do we struggle to step outside our comfort zone? We're wired to seek out comfort, which is why it's so hard to let it go.

A few reasons to step outside your comfort zone
  • Trying new things can make you more creative
  • Embracing new challenges can help you age better
  • Taking risks is what helps us grow
  • Challenging yourself can help you perform at your peak
  • You're better equipped to analyse
  • You gain new perspective and your horizons are broadened to unimaginable levels
  • Spot-on decisions come naturally to you
  • Your comfort zone expands
  • You stop wishing and start doing

  • The Weekly Health Challenge is a self-audited program designed to motivate the JCSC Wellness participants in reducing BMI on a weekly basis.

    How it works:
    1. Each week there will be a new health challenge. You can accept the challenge by accepting the pledge for each challenge. You can only accept a challenge from midnight on Sunday to midnight on Tuesday.

    2. At the end of the week, you can declare if you have completed the challenge. You can only mark a challenge as completed from midnight on Sunday to midnight on Tuesday.
