To show support for the Word Compassion and Vegan Day coming up on November 1, we are challenging participants to be vegan for a week.

Vegetarian foods are a major source of nutrition for most people in the world.
Vegetarians have lower rates of heart disease and some forms of cancer.
Vegetarian diets cane be simple and easy to prepare.
Contrary to popular belief, vegetarians can and do have strong bones. Some of the best sources of calcium include beans, green leafy vegetables, tofu and fortified non-dairy milks.
