In this week's challenge you must Empower the healer in you. Reiki is a japanese word. "Rei" means "God's Wisdom or Higher Power" and Ki means "Life Force Energy". It is a simple and effective natural healing system. It is a simplified form of spiritual healing that is extremely powerful in over coming problems of mind, body or spirit.
- Support the body in a sturdy, sustainable posture
begin daily self-practice by finding a comfortable posture that will support body and mind in relaxation. Practice by sitting cross-legged on a meditation cushion or by lying down. If you’re sitting cross-legged, ensure your hips are above your knees for optimal comfort. If you’re lying down, support your knees and neck with bolsters. You may also sit on a chair, with your feet grounded, flat on the ground. Experiment until you find a posture that’s engaging yet restful.
- Honor your intentions
Now is a great time to salute your choice to show up and practice. You've already carved out time, remembered your practice, and gathered the courage to practice. Though sitting with your racing mind, uncomfortable physical sensations, and loud emotions can be intimidating, know that every day you show up with compassion is a day to celebrate.
- Meditate
Next, draw your attention inward to breath, and also notice the areas of body that feel tense or achy. Send awareness and breath to release. Consciously drop shoulders away from my ears to open heart’s center. Relax facial muscles, and unclench teeth. Continue scanning body with awareness and breathe until you feel embodied. Next, direct the breath into the lower belly. Breathing into this area of the body anchors the mind and tones the vagus nerve.
- Reiki precepts
Enjoy reciting the precepts several times as a way to practice mental and emotional hygiene. Spiritual evolution, health journey, relationships, and pursuits as an entrepreneur are often guided by these precepts:
- Today only
- Do not anger
- Do not worry
- Be grateful
- Practice diligently
- Show compassion to yourself and others
- Create your own Vision Board
Vision board is a simple technique to identify your goals and focus on manifestation without distractions. It can be made as a collage of pictures together with expressions or quotes defining your goals as if they are already achieved.
- Let the present moment fill your heart with patience
The amount and strength of one’s patience can make a large difference in our lives. Patience is one way to focus on the present moment and not worry about the future. Please read the following slowly and let each phrase settle into your heart energy:
- Just for today, I will not worry.
- Just for today, I will not be angry.
- Just for today, I will be grateful.
- Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
- Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing
- Engage in relaxing activities in nature Below is a list of few nature activities:
- Take a hike: Not only is hiking a great way to clear your mind, it can also help increase bone density, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. And thankfully, you don’t need to live next to Yellowstone or the Grand Canyon to find a path worth taking. Find hiking trails near you, and you can filter by length and difficulty. Prepare for your day on the trails with list of hiking essentials.
- Plant a garden :Planting and tending to a garden isn’t just a fulfilling way to enjoy some fresh air. Research shows that gardening can help minimize stress, which can ultimately improve your sleep quality. What’s more, caring for plants has been shown to reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Do a family lunch outdoor
- Make bird feeders and watch them come
- Watch a sunset or sunrise
